Upholstery Basics: Foam

Last time we spoke about trims and showed you how to create and apply single welt cording. Now we’re getting to the core of the matter: foam, a key ingredient in any modern upholstered seat!

Having determined what kind of foam you want (and purchased it from Fabric Farms Interiors, of course!), you need to cut your foam into the shape you’ll need. The easiest way to do this at home is with a bread knife, as demonstrated below.


AND, regardless of the size or shape of the cushion you need, Bernie shows you how to make it using an adhesive spray and a few tips and tricks.
